Your pet ultimately depends on you to care them. They rely on you to feed, bathe, walk, love, and take them to a veterinarian as needed. Every time you visit the veterinary clinic it is an opportunity for you and your trusted vet in Wicker Park to work together to ensure your pet is in good health. Since your time at your vet is valuable, we have created a list of ways to make the most out of your visit. Here are some tips to be an ideal client at your vet in Wicker Park:
Prepare For Your Appointment
Write down any questions you have for your veterinarian. If you have any questions about a particular behavior or problem your pet is having, your veterinarian will be happy to answer them for you. If possible, capture any odd behavior on video on your phone. This can be helpful for the vet in Wicker Park.
Be On Time
Respect your veterinarian’s time and the time of other clients. Your vet in Wicker park may be running late due to an unexpected animal emergency. Be tolerant of delays in his or her schedule.
Turn Your Phone Off
When you enter the exam room, turn your phone off. Focus your full attention on your pet. You do not want to miss any valuable information that your veterinarian is trying to share with you.
If your veterinarian gives you a set of instructions, take notes on your phone or a piece of paper.
Follow Your Veterinarian’s Instruction
Compliance is very important in whether your pet responds to home care, whether this has to do with specific feeding instructions, exercise, rest, behavior or medication. Remember your pet is relying on you to comply with the veterinarian’s instructions.

Dear Pet Parents,
We thank you for your continued support while we've been navigating this new season of life in the COVID-19 world. We know that you're eager to get back into the hospital to accompany your pets during their visits. Unfortunately, in order to protect all our pet parents and our staff, we are unable to open the hospital to visitors at this time. We are going to continue practicing social distancing as long as necessary to insure we can stay open for your pets when they need us most. We ask that you please be patient with our team, and remember that everything we do is with the best of intentions for you, your pets and our employees. We love serving the Village West Veterinary community, and hope to do so for a very long time to come.
Our appointments continue to fill up fast, so we suggest scheduling your appointments at least 2 to 4 weeks in advance, whenever possible. If your pet is sick and needs to been seen right away, please let us know as early in the day as possible. We appreciate your support.
